With all of the hype this year of B&M`s running backwards this year, you can only expect more coasters will join the flock.
In addition to Batman The Ride running backwards until July 7th, Six Flags Great America has announced that they will not only also be running American Eagle backwards this Fall, but the day after Batman stops running backwards, the park`s other major wooden coaster Viper will start running backwards!
To me, this represents parks wanting a cheap way to bring in visitors, while also creating a new and thrilling experience for guests. I personally love it, and think that this is the latest fad, like the Six Flags Ride Rotation program.
Viper is a wooden coaster at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee Illinois, and has a layout reminiscent of the Coney Island Cyclone. It has an 80ft drop, and reaches speeds of up to 50mph.
